Thanksgiving Autumn Leaves Manicure

Hello, lovelies!

Today I have one of my new favorite manicures. I'm a sucker for dark vampy colors this time of year. They just scream "autumn," and you all know how I feel about an accent nail (or three). This is crazy easy and looks insanely intricate. The trick? Water decals!

A website called Born Pretty contacted me a little while back. I'd like to begin by making it perfectly clear that this is not a sponsored post. I am not being paid to use or endorse their products. In fact, I'd actually purchased from them in the past and jumped at the idea of reviewing/demoing some of their newer products. Even better? They gave me a coupon code to pass on to you all! For 10% off the ENTIRE WEBSITE use coupon code: AINW10.
Awesomesauce? Yup.

Now, on to the tutorial!

My thoughts on the products I used?

The water decals were actually really cool...once I figured out how to used them. I definitely had a bit of a learning curve with this. (It'd help if I read directions every once in a while.) Luckily I was able to save myself from disaster, reevaluate, and come out on top. Their lasting power was rather impressive. I made sure to seal everything with my favorite top coat, and ended up wearing this manicure for about a week.

The pearls didn't fare quite as well. I knew going in that they would have minimal staying power. I've used similar products in the past. I just always want them to last the life of the manicure, knowing that they'll only last the evening (if I'm lucky), and end up being disappointed. That being said, the fact that they fall off is no fault of their own. I am quite hard on my hands and don't tend to be any more cautious when wearing 3d nail art (oops). If anyone has suggestions on how to make nail gems last, I'm all ears. Other than that, they were exactly as pictured on the website, and a perfect addition to the mani.

How would you wear these fall leaves?

Love always,
